Iziko Lethemba is a social enterprise with the core objective of reducing crime by facilitating the re-entry of ex-offenders back into the community
We establish commercial farms on a replicated proven business model where parolees are housed, work and receive on the job training directly following released.
Our approach of providing full-time employment, coupled with comprehensive intervention programs, helps residents develop decent work habits, gain vocational skills, and restore the necessary trust in them whilst earing an honest living.
Ex-offenders are in addition given an opportunity to refresh interpersonal skill, gain invaluable life skills, rebuild family and societal bonds, engage in community service, participate in restorative justice initiatives, and attend personal enrichment classes.
Community Reintegration.
The aim of rehabilitation is to make offenders less likely to reoffend on release, failing to actively assist ex-offenders with reintegration amounts to an abandonment of the rehabilitation work performed in prison
Underpinning the notion of reintegration is the basic realization that it is in the communities' best interest the ex-offender is successfully reintegrated
