Re-Entry Centres
The greatest challenge for offenders lies in the period immediately after release when they attempt to reintegrate.
Inevitably, when people are released from prison, the socio-economic circumstances that existed prior to their arrest continue to exist or has become worse, as do their lack of job-related skills and work opportunities.
The concern for community safety due to the recidivism of parolees must result in an increased focus on the controlled reintegration of ex-offenders back into the community through re-entry centres.
Youth Programs
Employing methods of positive youth development ensure we prioritize young adults’ needs and help them build the skills necessary to become productive and successful members of society and to stay out of prison.
Drug and Gang Programs
Our prevention programs target youths at risk of gang involvement and help reduce the number of youths who join gangs.
Youth are at higher risk of joining a gang if they engage in delinquent behaviors, are aggressive or violent, experience multiple caretaker transitions, have many problems at school, associate with other gang-involved youth, or live in communities where they feel unsafe and where many youths engage in drug abuse.
